El Paso Parks & Recreation has been nationally accredited since 2018 and works to continuously meet 151 rigorous standards related to the management and administration of lands, facilities, resources, programs, safety, and services. The department places in the 1 percent of agencies nationwide, as well as being the 15th agency in the state to be nationally accredited. The Parks and Recreation Department joins the ranks of elite park and recreation organizations across the country by earning accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).
